Ladies With Pierced Nipples
default window manager in GNOME 2.28
published some time ago how to configure the default window manager in GNOME
. This recipe was tested with success in the GNOME then (if I remember was something like 2.22 or 2.24) but when trying to use it in my new GNOME 2.28, simply did not work.
The point is that now the GNOME ignores the environment variable WINDOW_MANAGER and
gconf key / desktop / gnome / applications / window_manager
. The new way to set the default window manager is by
key / desktop / gnome / session / required_components / windowmanager . There simply place the command of our favorite window manager (compiz in my case) and voila.
